Orange owes its international fame to its impressive Roman monuments which are protected as part of UNESCO’s world heritage.

-  The Roman Theater, the best preserved of the entire Roman empire. Louis the XIV described the stage wall as "the most beautiful wall in my Kingdom".

-  The Arch of Triumph, with 3 entrances, symbolizing the glory of Roman imperialism.

Surrounded by lush green hills, the town spreads on both sides of the river. On the right bank, the Gallo-Roman city, full of reminders of life from times long past. The Roman city is a true open-air museum, see villas, mosaics, baths, the theater... On the left bank, the medieval city covers the hilltop, its winding streets revealing splendid architecture.

-  The many excavations and the Roman theater, Notre Dame de Nazareth cathedral and its Romanesque cloister, the Upper Town, built during the Middle Ages, the Roman bridge.

Around Nimes

-   The Pont du Gard is located in the heart of a beautiful region, is one of the very special highlights. This engineering feat, built by the Romans in the 1st century BC, was part of a 50-meter long aqueduct which carried waters from Uzès to Nîmes.
