Surrounded by lush green hills, the town spreads on both sides of the river. On the right bank, the Gallo-Roman city, full of reminders of life from times long past. The Roman city is a true open-air museum, see villas, mosaics, baths, the theater... On the left bank, the medieval city covers the hilltop, its winding streets revealing splendid architecture.

  The many excavations and the Roman theater, Notre Dame de Nazareth cathedral and its Romanesque cloister, the Upper Town, built during the Middle Ages, the Roman bridge.

Around Nimes

   The Pont du Gard is located in the heart of a beautiful region, is one of the very special highlights. This engineering feat, built by the Romans in the 1st century BC, was part of a 50-meter long aqueduct which carried waters from Uzès to Nîmes.
