L’Isle sur la Sorgue

a small town enlaced in the arms of the river, where the peaceful streets shaded by plane trees and the canals where the old water wheels still turn have given it the name The Venice of the Comtat. The Sunday morning markets and the 300 antique dealers who have their shops there (open on Saturday and Sunday) have earned an international reputation for Isle sur la Sorgue. You will find the largest concentration of antique dealers outside of Paris. Don’t Miss :

Fontaine de Vaucluse

Where one of the world’s most extraordinary resurgences gushes forth. Nature’s own mystery, the underground spring can be a surging fury or a placid lake, depending on the season.

-  The Vallis Clausa paper mill, where paper is still made as it was in the Middle Ages. All the steps of paper-making are described and visible in this mill which specializes in handmade flower-strewn paper.
